rainy days Festival 2026: Luxembourg Philharmonic & Guests
Philharmonie Luxembourg
From 19 to 22 November 2026, the rainy days Festival returns as Luxembourg and the Greater Region’s premier platform for contemporary and new music. Celebrating cutting-edge soundscapes, innovative compositions, and extraordinary artistic collaborations, the festival transforms the Philharmonie into a vibrant hub for contemporary art.
In this featured festival performance, the Luxembourg Philharmonic takes the stage under the baton of conductor Jack Sheen. Joining them are the acclaimed piano and percussion ensemble Yarn/Wire and celebrated violinist Tamsin Waley-Cohen for a compelling programme exploring the rich depths of contemporary classical repertoire.
For Mika Gieres, performing in the festival as part of his flute internship with the Luxembourg Philharmonic for the 2026–2027 season is a standout moment. It offers him a unique opportunity to engage with complex contemporary scores and collaborate with world-renowned specialists in new music.
