It is hard to imagine Christmas without music – and equally hard to imagine it without the Philharmonie Luxembourg’s traditional Chrëschtconcert.

On 21 December 2026, the Luxembourg Philharmonic, conducted by Marc Meyers, presents a festive Christmas concert in the Grand Auditorium. The programme brings together much-loved Christmas classics and traditional carols from around the world – from Adeste Fideles and Joy to the World, to Tchaikovsky’s Pas de deux from The Nutcracker, Sleigh Ride, Jingle Bells, and Silent Night, Holy Night. The audience will also have the wonderful opportunity to join in and sing along.

For Mika Gieres, this concert is a particularly special occasion. He will perform with the Luxembourg Philharmonic on the flute as part of his internship with the orchestra for the 2026–2027 season. This placement offers him a valuable platform to gain hands-on experience in a professional orchestral environment alongside world-class musicians.
